Living Library: “From Stereotype to Understanding”

Instead of traditional books, participants will be able to “borrow” living books — people who, through their life, health, social, or cultural circumstances, have experienced barriers, stereotypes, or exclusion.

In small groups, young people will have the chance to talk with invited guests, learn their perspective, and ask questions in a safe, moderated setting that respects everyone’s boundaries.

The conversations will be followed by a joint reflective-creative workshop, “From Stereotype to Action,” where we will consider which stereotypes we managed to overcome and how we can better support people experiencing exclusion around us.

The event aims to show young people that direct contact and conversation can be a first step toward changing the way we look at others.

The workshop is organized by Fundacja Wytwórnia Inicjatyw Twórczych (the Creative Initiatives Workshop Foundation), for a group of 24 participants, at Kredens pod Oknami, ul. Boremlowska 4.

Duration: approximately 2.5 hours.
