Teatr Kamienica, Emiliana Stage, al. Solidarności 93, Warsaw
Running time: 60 minutes

We invite you to an exceptional evening of poetry on stage: “Rozewicz.play.pl”, a one-man show adapted, directed and performed by Marek Urbański, based on Tadeusz Różewicz’s play “The Card Index” and on the poet’s verse. Running time: 60 minutes.
The gala premiere took place on 11 April 2026 on the Emiliana Stage at Teatr Kamienica in Warsaw. The day before, on 10 April 2026 — in the year marking the fiftieth anniversary of his stage career — Marek Urbański was honoured with the Bronze Gloria Artis Medal for Merit to Polish Culture, at the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
Marek Urbański has worked in the theatre since 1975. He trained under Zuzanna Łozińska in Jelenia Góra. He is a stage, film and television actor who also works in radio (radio plays, commentary and his own columns), in dubbing and in recording studios (documentaries, reportage and dialogue lists). He has created many musical adaptations of contemporary drama and poetry. In the late 1990s he wrote and presented the radio column series “Interpretations — Art — Everyday Life” for Radio Łódź. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the Aleksander Zelwerowicz Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw (extramural programme).
He values the JOURNEY more than reaching the DESTINATION. He was given his first camera for his fifth birthday. Through his father’s mother, née Greim, he is a descendant of Michał Greim — photographer, bibliophile, numismatist and medal maker. Since 2018 he has run, together with Anna Bojarska, the Piwnica Poetycka ENS Foundation for Culture and National Heritage, and since 2019 “Kredens pod Oknami” (Dresser under the Windows) — an independent, artist-led local activity venue in Warsaw’s Praga-Południe district, today at ul. Boremlowska 4, where visitors are always warmly welcome. In October 2025 their many years of community and artistic work were recognised with the Marshal of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship Award.

The Piwnica Poetycka ENS Foundation and Kredens pod Oknami invite you to the 53rd meeting in the “Nasi goście” (Our Guests) series, which is also the fourth evening in Joanna Okoń’s own series, “Muzyczny wieczór z Joanną Okoń” (A Musical Evening with Joanna Okoń). In the chamber concert “Life Between Harpsichord and Piano” (in Polish, “Życie między klawesynem a fortepianem”), the evening’s special guest, Olena Zhukova, will play the piano and Joanna Okoń the violin.
Join us for an extraordinary chamber concert by Olena Zhukova, an outstanding harpsichordist and pianist from Kyiv, and Joanna Okoń, a violinist known and admired not only in Warsaw.
The two artists share a passion for searching out and discovering their own musical spaces. They met years ago in a recording studio, while making an album of Polish music titled “Zagubione skarby” (Lost Treasures), and that meeting grew into a collaboration and a friendship.
This special evening will be a conversation through music, and also a story about Olena Zhukova’s wide-ranging creative work. It will be hosted by Joanna Okoń, the creator of the music series. As always at Kredens pod Oknami, hot tea and a warm welcome will be waiting for our guests!
Olena Zhukova performs around the world at renowned festivals and music events. She teaches at the Academy of Music in Kyiv and creates artistic programmes together with outstanding, internationally acclaimed musicians.
Joanna Okoń, a violinist, chamber musician and teacher, carries on a long family tradition of music. She is an active chamber musician who has drawn attention on Polish and international stages. She also searches out and records little-known works, so-called musical “gems”, bringing the memory of their forgotten composers back to life.
The artistry and passion of both performers promise an evening full of moving moments, emotion and beauty.
