Kalina Jędrusik-Dygat (born 5 February 1930 in Gnaszyn[1][2], died 7 August 1991 in Warsaw) – Polish theatre and film actress, singer and cabaret artist. Kalina Jędrusik was born in 1930 (some sources give 1931, which according to her half-brother Maciej Jędrusik is incorrect[1]) in Gnaszyn (since 1977 a district of Częstochowa). In 1949 she graduated from the Juliusz Słowacki 1st General Secondary School in Częstochowa[4], then in 1953 from the State Higher School of Acting in Kraków, and in the same year made her stage debut at the Teatr Wybrzeże in Gdańsk. From January 1955 she performed in Warsaw theatres: the Teatr Narodowy (1955–1957), Teatr Współczesny (1957–1963), Teatr Komedia (1964–1967), Studencki Teatr Satyryków (1969–1972), Teatr Rozmaitości (1972–1985) and Teatr Polski (1985–1991). She played dramatic and character roles. Kalina Jędrusik gained enormous popularity from her appearances in the television programmes of the Kabaret Starszych Panów and from film roles, among others as Joanna in Lekarstwo na miłość, directed by Jan Batory.
In the 1960s and 1970s she was regarded as a sex symbol. In 1976 she performed for the Polish diaspora in the USA in duets with Violetta Villas, mainly in the United States.
In a poll for the best actress in the history of Polish film, organised in 1996 by the magazine “Film” on the 100th anniversary of cinema, she took third place.
