    of the Praga-Południe District of the Capital City of Warsaw,
    the “Szaserów” Housing Cooperative and
    the Piwnica Poetycka ENS Foundation invite you to:

    A Sunday afternoon tea with a story and a book, the 21st MEETING in the series “Our Guests”, whose heroine will be:

    the well-known and popular biographer, librarian AND teacher of Polish
    Mariola Pryzwan
    and her latest book: “Irena Jarocka o sobie” (“Irena Jarocka on Herself”)

    During the evening you will be able to buy a copy from the author at a special promotional price. The conversation will be led by Anna Bojarska.

    Mariola Pryzwan – biographer, librarian and teacher of Polish.

    Author of memoir-based biographies of Władysław Broniewski, Zbigniew Cybulski, Maria Dąbrowska, Anna German, Anna Jantar, Irena Jarocka, Maria Kownacka, Maria Pawlikowska-Jasnorzewska and Halina Poświatowska.

    Mariola Pryzwan's subjects are also her literary, musical and film fascinations.

    She loves life and repeats after Halina Poświatowska, with whom she began her adventure in biography, that “we live only for a moment / and time – / is a transparent pearl / filled with breath

    We are interested in biographies, the borderlands of pop culture (music, film, theatre, cabaret), travel and reportage.

    We are open to fiction: social novels, crime novels, books for young people.

    We do not shy away from new authors, debutants on the publishing market.
    Wydawnictwo Szelest is an independent publishing house founded in 2015.
    We are bookworms.
    We appreciate good literature.
